With the continued spread of the coronavirus and recent news of fatalities in the US, we want to communicate initiatives we are taking to address concerns residents and family members of Cappella of Grand Junction may have. First, the health and wellbeing of the community (including team members) is our highest priority. Our clinical team created coronavirus specific policies and procedures based on our norovirus-prevention-guide already in place. We are keeping applicable personnel informed as new information is gathered and we’ve implemented specific action items and guidelines to protect residents in Assisted Living and Memory Support Neighborhoods. We want to encourage everyone to help prevent the potential of the virus entering our community by avoiding close contact with people who are sick and we are requiring team members who are ill to stay home. Following everyday preventive actions like washing hands, using alcohol-based hand sanitizers and covering your cough is also recommended.
